Introduction

Welcome to the Paruku IPA (Lake Gregory) automated permit system. This system is for people wishing to visit and/or camp in the Paruku IPA (Lake Gregory), Lake Stretch and Sturt Creek. For permits for the Canning Stock Route (CSR), please go to the CSR permit system.

Please note that general public access is not readily granted and that government approvals may be required for activities other than tourism. The system has been designed to minimise the administration cost of permits so that a maximum percentage of your permit fee can be committed to looking after the important environmental and cultural values of the land.

All visitors to these areas enter and travel at their own risk. You should ensure that you are adequately prepared.

Please direct enquiries relating to the Paruku IPA or seeking local information to [email protected].

Making an application

The system will guide you through your application with the use of help text and will prompt you for any mandatory information before moving to the next page. The system will take you through 2 stages

If you make a mistake or want to change any information in your application, you can do so anytime up until you make payment for the permit. Once you have confirmed the details in your application it is stored in the system and you can retrieve and edit your permit at any time prior to payment.

A digital version of the Paruku IPA Information Pack can be downloaded once you have paid for your permit.

Payments

For making automated payments, this system uses the PayPal service. You do not require a PayPal account to use this service, just an accepted credit or debit card. If you would prefer an offline payment, you can choose to pay for your permit over the phone using a credit card or through direct funds transfer. Payment via Electronic Funds Transfer attracts an administration charge of $11.00 (including GST).

Details for these options are included on the Payment page, including information on additional handling charges. Your permit will serve as a tax receipt, as well as being a permit to visit these areas. Please make sure that the information that you enter in your application is correct before you proceed to payment as details can only be changed by contacting the system administrator once you have paid for your permit.

Refunds

Permit fees will only be refunded if you advise us that the trip has had to be cancelled prior to entry to the area and due to circumstances beyond your control. Applications for refunds can be made through [email protected] by quoting your 6-character permit code.

A small service charge ($11 including GST) will apply to processing of all refunds.

Feedback

We would welcome any feedback on the permit system. We will be undertaking periodic reviews of the system and any feedback received will be considered at this time. Please direct your feedback to [email protected].
